An initial appointment will take between 45 minutes and 1 hour. During this time, your physiotherapist will ask questions about your condition and conduct a physical assessment to find out the cause of your problem. Various assessment techniques may be used including range of motion measuring, testing muscle strength/length, balance, gait pattern, neurological examination, use of real time ultrasound to identify muscle recruitment, joint mobility, and many more.
Once all the information is collected, your physiotherapist will discuss assessment findings and a treatment plan. Treatment will commence immediately and the need for any follow up will be discussed with you.
